SECURITY & PRIVACY

What is done with the information I provide to you on your site?
The primary reason we collect information is to provide the basic service. We must collect specific information for the purpose of processing your payment and shipping your order. We will contact you via e-mail regarding your initial order confirmation and to notify you that your order has been shipped. We will contact you via e-mail for any other matters required to properly process and ship your order.

How can I tell if a site is secure?
To tell if your information is secure on a site, when you are in the checkout portion of a site, you should notice that the URL at the top of the screen has changed from http:// to https://. This means the site has switched over to a secure portion of the site where your information is safe.

Another way you can tell if a site is secure is when your browser displays a padlock. If the lock shows closed, this means this portion of the site is secure. Only certain pages on a site need to be secure such as checkout pages.

How can I tell if a site is trustworthy?
Most sites on the Internet are safe. But to protect yourself as a consumer, we do recommend the following guidelines:

  • Look to see if there is a phone number on the website so you are able to call the company should you have a problem.
  • Make sure there is a physical address listed on the web site (not a P.O. box).
  • Make sure there is a valid e-mail address (not only a form) of which you can send e-mail to.
