Flawless Skin Care, located in park slope Brooklyn, is founded by Dina Herdigein in 2006. Dina, who is a park slope resident, started Flawless on a whim. With her background in the stressful hospitality industry, she decided to treat herself to a spa treatment at home. She went into one of those discount stores and bought a super sized cocoa butter moisturizer. "I decided to read the ingredient label, only to my surprise to see that, what was supposed to be the main ingredient was actually appearing to be the last. Knowing the FDA regulations, ingredients should be listed from most to least; I decided to research the other ingredients. To my dismay, I realized I was putting man-made synthetic fillers on my body and possibly into my bloodstream. Most people don't know that what you put on your skin can make its way into your body - our body."

Dina decided to study essential oils and the benefits of using them on the body. "I then found my calling. I hated going into Sephora, not being able to find some of my favorite lines. Some of the best lines wouldn't be caught dead in there. Lines such as Temple Spa are hard to get. I was first introduced to Temple Spa while vacationing in Turks & Caicos. It became one of our top selling lines and a blessing in disguise. We ship Temple Spa throughout the country. Brooklyn was in need for such a company especially for a borough that was already booming. All it needed was a fabulous, high quality beauty and apothecary boutique; where else, but in the trendy neighborhood of Park Slope," said Dina.
